Our Journey in Canada

JELD-WEN of Canada has grown significantly since entering the Canadian market in 1990. Our expansion milestones include:

• 1996 – Acquisition of a plant originally established in 1973 by Donat Flamand Windows and Doors.
• 1997 – Expansion with two additional plants: one founded in 1957 by the Flamand family (St. Henri) and another from Willmar to better serve Western Canada.
• 1998 – Purchase of United Windows and Doors, established in 1960 in Concord, Ontario, later relocated to Woodbridge in 2004.
• 2005 & 2021 – Major investments in the St. Henri plant to enhance production capabilities.
• 2023 – Relocation to a new headquarters in Mississauga, Ontario; reinforcing our growth and commitment to quality.

Today, with over 1000 employees across our facilities, we continue to drive innovation, excellence, and sustainability in the Canadian window and door industry.
